The thinking ability to be developed in today’s learning is High order thinking, one of which is problem solving skills. Drill method is one method that can be used to build student’s problem solving physics skills, because the drilling method uses teaching techniques that are done in the form of repetitive exercise. This study aims to determine the effect of drill method help viedo stop motion to the ability solve the problem of physics in fluida dynamic matter. This research was conducted at SMA N 1 Bae Kudus 2016/2017 school year fluida dynamic materials. This study uses a true-experimental design experimental type pre-test post-test control group design. The population was MIPA class XI SMA Negeri 1 Bae Kudus. Authors took samples with cluster random sampling by taking two classes at random. The results showed that there are differences in the physics problem-solving skills of students, it can be seen from one side hypothesis test between the experimental class received drill method help viedo stop motion and control class that gets learning using chat method t obtained > t table, namely 6,53 > 1,67 it can be concluded Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, so that the results of the students' ability to solve problems using drill method help viedo stop motion in the experimental class better than the control class that gets chat learning method.
