Guidance and counseling are services provided to learners to help solve their problems. Teacher guidance and counseling has an important role to assist the development of learners, especially in the field of career. This service emphasizes the role of teacher guidance and counseling to prepare for the career of junior high school students. In this study, students claimed not to know in detail and clear about the choice of majors because the information is still very minimal, experiencing confusion with a career that will be chosen, do not negate the advantages and weaknesses, anxious about the choice to be taken, so if this not immediately in follow-up will cause the individual is not able to develop optimally. What can the guidance and counseling teachers do to overcome this?

This study uses literature studies and other sources such as internet. The results of the study show that (1) guidance and counseling teachers perform assessment (2) guidance and counseling teachers communicate ideas and information related to the students' careers to students, parents, stap schools, (3) counseling and counseling teachers together (4) guidance and counseling teachers in collaboration with school staples, and parents, (5) counseling and counseling teachers, (6) career guidance by using technologi, (7) cultural understanding, and (8) help solve the problem of learners.
