Penelitian ini didasari oleh beberapa hal di antaranya; 1) adanya kecenderungan menggunakan metode ceramah yang banyak digunakan disetiap pembelajaran 2) penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi 3) rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN Pulorejo 01 Pati  yang menunjukkan dibawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) 4) minimnya kemampuan guru dalam menerapkan strategi pembelajaran yang mengaktifkan siswa. 5) guru mengalami kesulitan dalam menerapkan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan bagi siswa. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV pada sub tema keanekaragaman hewan dan tumbuhan melalui model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing di SDN Pulorejo 01 Pati. Hal ini  dapat dilihat dari hasil pretest yang memperoleh nilai ≥70 secara klasikal dari 8 orang siswa atau sebesar 33% menjadi 20 orang siswa atau sebesar 83% pada siklus I dan siklus II yang memperoleh nilai ≥70 sebanyak 24 orang siswa atau sebesar 100%. Sedangkan hasil belajar siswa aspek psikomotor menunjukkan peningkatan dari siklus I 54% siswa tuntas dengan rata-rata 78 dan siklus II 100% siswa tuntas dengan rata-rata 89. Untuk hasil belajar siswa aspek afektif juga mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I 42% siswa tuntas dengan rata-rata 80 dan pada siklus II 100% siswa tuntas dengan rata-rata 81. Dapat dikatakan bahwa melalui model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing mampu untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV pada sub tema keanekaragaman hewan dan tumbuhan di SD Negeri Pulorejo 01 Pati.

ABSTRACK

This study is based on several things including; 1) There is a tendency to use the lecture method that is widely used in every lesson 2) The use of teaching methods that are less variable 3) low yield fourth grade students of SDN Pulorejo 01 Starch which shows below minimum completeness criteria (KKM) 4) lack of ability of teachers to implement learning strategies which enable students. 5) The teacher had difficulty in applying learning fun for students. The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes of fourth grade at the sub theme of animal and plant diversity through learning model Snowball Throwing in SDN Pulorejo 01 Starch. It can be seen from the results of the pretest obtain the classical values ​​of ≥70 8 students or by 33% to 20 students or equal to 83% in the first cycle and cycle II ≥70 scored as many as 24 students or equal to 100%. While the results of student learning psychomotor aspects showed an increase from the first cycle to 54% of students completed an average of 78 and a second cycle of 100% of students completed with an average of 89. For the affective aspect of student learning outcomes also increased in the first cycle of 42% of students completed the an average of 80 and the second cycle of 100% of students completed with an average of 81. So it can be said that through learning model Snowball Throwing able to improve learning outcomes of fourth grade students in the sub theme diversity of animals and plants in the Elementary School Pulorejo 01 Starch.
