Abstrak

Latar belakang yang mendorong penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan menulis karangan sederhana siswa kelas III SDN Sambiroto 03 Semarang. Hal tersebut disebabkan dalam proses pembelajaran guru masih menggunakan metode ceramah. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah model pembelajaran Picture and Picture dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan sederhana siswa kelas III SDN Sambiroto 03 Semarang?. Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan sederhana siswa kelas III SDN Sambiroto 03 Semarang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dalam bentuk Pre Experimental Design dengan desain One Group Pretest – Posttest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas III SDN Sambiroto 03 Semarang. Sampel yang diambil adalah 40 siswa kelas III dengan menggunakan Sampling Jenuh. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui dokumentasi, observasi, wawancara, dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil analisis akhir yang telah dilakukan terlihat dari presentase ketuntasan belajar siswa menunjukan bahwa hasil belajar kemampuan menulis karangan sederhana siswa yang mendapat perlakuan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Picture And Picture dapat meningkat. Hasil belajar siswa sebelum diberi perlakuan sebanyak 17 siswa yang tuntas dengan presentase 42% dan 23 siswa yang tidak tuntas  dengan presentase 58%. Sedangkan setelah diberi perlakuan dengan model pembelajaran Picture And Picture yang tuntas 34 siswa dengan presentase  85% dan 6 siswa yang tidak tuntas dengan presentase 15%. Hasil tersebut diperkuat dengan hasil uji t diketahui thitung lebih dari ttabel (>), maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran picture and picture meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan sederhana siswa kelas III SDN Sambiroto 03 Semarang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini saran yang dapat disampaikan adalah supaya model pembelajaran Picture and Picture dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu alternatif guru dalam mengajar.

Abstract

The background that encourages this research is the low ability to write simple essay of grade 3 students of SDN Sambiroto 03 Semarang. This is because in the learning process the teacher is still using the lecture method. The problem in this research is whether the model of Picture and Picture learning can improve the ability to write simple essay of grade III SDN Sambiroto 03 Semarang ?. The objective to be achieved in this research is to improve the ability to write simple essay of grade 3 students of SDN Sambiroto 03 Semarang.  This type of research is quantitative research in the form of Pre Experimental Design with the design of One Group Pretest - Posttest. The population of this research is all students of class III SDN Sambiroto 03 Semarang. The sample taken is 40 students of class III by using Saturated Sampling. The data in this research is obtained through documentation, observation, interview, and test.  Based on the results of the final analysis that has been done visible from the percentage of students' learning mastery shows that the results of learning ability to write a simple essay of students who received treatment by using the model of learning Picture And Picture can increase. Student learning outcomes before being treated as many as 17 students complete with 42% percentage and 23 students who are not completed with the percentage of 58%. Meanwhile, after being treated with Picture and Picture learning model that complete 34 students with 85% percentage and 6 students who did not complete with the percentage of 15%. The result is reinforced by t test result known tcount more than ttable (>), then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted, so it can be concluded that the model of learning picture and picture improves the ability to write simple essay grade III SDN Sambiroto 03 Semarang.  Based on the results of this study suggestions that can be delivered is that the model of Picture and Picture learning can be used as an alternative teacher in teaching.
