Abstrak

Landasan dalam penelitian ini adalah kurang kreatifnya guru dalam menggunakan metode, model atau strategi pembelajaran. Dalam hal ini akan berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep IPS siswa. Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan sebuah model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPS siswa. Model pembelajaran yang dipakai yaitu time token berbasis team quiz pada siswa kelas V SD N 1 Patukangan Kendal. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Siklus yang diugunakan yaitu tiga siklus dengan setiap siklus dilakukan dua pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi dan catatan lapangan dengan teknik analisis data berupa deskripsi kuantitatif dan deskripsi kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) aktivitas siswa pada siklus I memperoleh skor 13,25 kriteria cukup, pada siklus II memperoleh skor 14,9 kriteria baik dan meningkat pada siklus III memperoleh skor 21,86 kriteria sangat baik. (2) Hasil belajar dengan ketuntasan klasikal pada siklus I 45%, meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 62,5%, dan siklus III meningkat menjadi 95%. Hal ini penerapan model Time Token berbasis Team Quiz dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPS melalui evaluasi dan aktivitas siswa Kelas V SDN 1 Patukangan Kendal.

Abstract

The cornerstone of this study is the lack of creative teachers in the use of methods, models or learning strategies. In this case will affect students' understanding of the concept of IPS. In this study aims to implement a learning model to improve students' understanding of the concept of IPS. The learning model used is time token-based team quiz in Class V SD N 1 Kendal Patukangan. In this study using research methods class action. Cycles used are three cycles with each cycle two meetings. Data collection techniques used tests, interviews,observations, documentation and field notes which the data analysis techniques in the form of descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative. The results showed that: (1) the student activity of the score of 13.25 enough criteria, the second cycle got a score of 14.9 good criteria and increased in the third cycle. A score of 21.86 criteria very well. (2) Results of study with classical completeness 45% in the first cycle, the second cycle increased to 62.5%, and the third cycle increased to 95%. This application of Time Token based Team Quiz can improve the understanding of IPS concept through evaluation and activity of students of Class V SDN 1 Patukangan Kendal.
