Abstract


This research is an experimental study that aims to determine the effectiveness of Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning models and Prezi's assisted Snowball Throwing on the ability to understand mathematical concepts in data presentation material. The population in this study were seventh grade students of SMP 1 Mejobo Kudus in the academic year of 2017/2018. The sample selection technique used is cluster random sampling technique. As a sample three classes were taken, namely experimental class 1 with Prezi NHT assisted model, experimental class 2 with Prezi assisted Snowball Throwing model and conventional control class. The results showed that in (1) the ability to understand mathematical concepts in experimental class 1 and 2 was complete KKM (2) there were differences in the ability to understand mathematical concepts from the three groups; (3) the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts in the experimental class 1 is as good as the experimental class 2; (4) the ability to understand mathematical concepts in experimental class 1 students is better than the control class; (5) the ability to understand mathematical concepts in experimental class 2 students is better than the control class (6) there is a positive influence of students 'activeness on the ability of understanding mathematical concepts assisted by Prezi in experiment 1, (7) there is a positive influence of students' activeness on the ability of understanding Prezi's mathematical concept in experiments 2 and (8) there is a positive effect of student activity on the ability to comprehend conventional mathematical concepts in class. The conclusions obtained are the students 'concept comprehension ability using NHT learning model as well as Prezi's Snowball Throwing learning model, the students' concept comprehension ability using Prezi NHT and Snowball Throwing learning models better than conventional learning in data presentation material.
