THE DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENCE EDUCATION BY USING A SCIENTIFIC APPROACH AT THE LEVEL OF PRIMARY EDUCATION

Abstract


The purpose of this research is to develop attitudes and interests in science education, while the specific purposes of this research are to develop attitudes and interest in science education at the primary level. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The main instrument in this study is the researchers, while supporting instruments used in this study are: 1) polls or questionnaires which represented in a number of written questions used to obtain information from the respondents. In this study, the questionaire is used to determine the pre-conditions of the subject. 2) observation sheet is used by the researchers as a guidance in observation activities. The conclusions of this study are: 1) there are seven aspects used to develop attitudes and interests toward science education at the primary level in Surakarta 2) in developing attitudes and interests toward science education at the primary level in Surakarta used Likert Scale range 1-5, which is each of the scales describe the attitude and interest of the children toward science education.
