Abstract


Induction programs for the novice teachers called induction program is the orientation activities, training in the workplace, development, and practice solving the various problems in the learning/ guidance process and counseling for the novice teachers at the school/ madrasah in his post. The objective of the induction program is to guide the novice teachers in order to: a) adapt to the working climate and culture of the school/ madrasah; and b) carrying out as a professional teacher at the school/ madrasah. In the implementation of the novice teachers’ induction program was guided by a mentor, principals, and supervisors in order to be professional teachers. During the induction program, the novice teachers get assistance in programming lesson plan/ guidance and counseling, the implementation of learning activities/guidance and counseling, assessment and evaluation of learning outcomes/guidance and counseling, the improvement and enrichment by utilizing the results of the assessment and evaluation of learning/guidance and counseling, and the implementation of other relevant tasks. The induction program is implemented through the stages: 1) preparation, 2) the introduction of the school environment/madrasah, 3) guidance, which consists of guidance phase I and phase II, 4) assessment, 5) reporting, and 6) the certificates issuance. Novices teachers are entitled to obtain a certificate after completing the induction program at least have the good category. Induction program certificate is one of the conditions of appointment in the functional position for novice teachers with the status of CPNS/PNS mutation of other positions. For novice teachers with the status of non-PNS can be proposed for appointment as permanent teachers and raised in the functional position. Suggestion: school/madrasah /local education office in order to have website that service the novice teachers to communicate the pedagogic problems and other educational topics, including lesson plan. Through the internet network can also be novice teachers exchange ideas and discuss some issues in a particular field of study.
