Abstract


Vinasse is the principal by product generated during the distillation of bioethanol (ethyl alcohol) from cane molasses fermentation mixtures. Vinasse are the liquid, brown color, odor, low pH, high on organic matter and nutrient of N, P, K, S. Therefore vinasse could be used as a liquid organic fertilizer for crops. Vinasse has a high concentration of complex organic compounds, so it could not be used directly as a liquid organic fertilizer. Therefore, the vinasse used to liquid organic fertilizer have to go through decomposition process. The research aims: 1) to know of the influence on various decomposers in vinasse on quality the liquid organic fertilizer produced, 2) to know of the effect on liquid organic fertilizer from vinasse on the growth and yield of green lettuce.The research was conducted at the Soil Laboratory and Greenhouse Faculty of Agriculture and Business SWCU in January-May 2015. The research layout used the randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 5 replications and 5 treatments. Treatment research is 1) without the decomposers (D1), 2) EM4 decomposers (D2), 3) Rumen Cattle decomposers (D3), 4) Dutamax decomposers (D4), and 5) decomposers mixture from EM4: Rumen Cattle: Dutamax (1: 1: 1) (D5). The results showed: 1) The Rumen Cattle decomposers could be produced the liquid organic fertilizers from vinasse with lower EC values than other decomposers additional treatments, the content of total N and NH4 + highest, but not significant on the C-organic, C/N ratio, NO3-, P2O5, K2O, P available and K available when compared with EM4 decomposers, Dutamax decomposers and Decomposers mixture EM4: Rumen Cattle: Dutamax; 2) The Rumen Cattle decomposers is the best decomposers to manufacture liquid organic fertilizer from vinasse; 3) Application of the liquid organic fertilizer from vinasse with various decomposers do not significant to growth and yield of the green lettuce.
