Abstract


This research is motivated by the lack of interaction awareness between teachers and students in the class. The purposes of this study were to classify the oral feedback that teacher expressed to students and to find out the advantages of giving oral feedback to students in the classroom. The methodology of this research was descriptive qualitative research which used three instruments to get the data, such as observation sheet, documentation in audio and questionnaire which filled by the students. The result of this study was teacher gave oral feedback which focus on task and process doing task. Teachers not only gave positive oral feedback but teacher also gave negative oral feedback and the utterances that teacher used were clear for students to be understood. Giving oral feedback gave a motivation for students to keep active while the teaching and learning happened in the class. The change of situation in the class became more comfortable was the other advantages of giving oral feedback, because students felt that teacher gave appreciation in everything that students gave whatever the answer was correct or incorrect.
