Abstract
This paper discusses the need for interpersonal and intrapersonal skills in teaching and learning process. The previous review of the literature concerned with interpersonal and intrapersonal skills for every individual, including teachers and students. Interpersonal skills are the ability to understand others to interact, collaborate, guide and manage communication with others. Intrapersonal skills are the ability to understand themselves and allow them to make decisions based on their own experiences and feelings. These skills need to be mastered by teachers and students so that they can become a good speaker and a good listener. With these mastered skills will assist individuals in determining the success and perfection in every action to be taken because of the mastery of interpersonal communication skills and interpersonal skills is the starting point for further action. The success or failure of a lot of things depend on the level of mentality and thinking ability in managing the communication within oneself.
