Abstract


This research’s background conducts from student’s difficulties in third grade to learn about the concept of matter in social studies and the lack of disciplines. This is showed by the result of students score in UTS (examination) and discipline questionnaires that have low grade from reseacher observation in the school. The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness Learning Model Course Review Horay to the Result of learning and discipline of social studies in the third grade of SDN Pedurungan Tengah 02 Semarang.This research is quantitative research of True Experimental Design and Pretes – posttes Control Group Design. This research data obtained the research instrument pretest, post-test, documentation, questionnaire, and observation sheet.Based on analysis of the data, it is obtained t = 4.17compared with t-table = 2000 and db = 30-1 at significance level α =5%. These results indicate that t-hitung> t-table = 4.17>2000. It can be concluded that there are differences between control class and experimental class in money lesson of third students in SD Negeri Pedurungan Tengah 02. The discipline questionnaire data were obtained t-hitung = 6.84 and t-table (0.05;29) = 2.045. Therefore, it can be concluded that the discipline character of the third grade in SD Negeri Pedurungan Tengah 02 can achieve good criteria in IPS money by using model Course Review Horay. Thus, the learning model, Course Review Horay, give affect to learning result and IPS discipline of third grade in SDN Pedurungan Tengah 02 Semarang.It means that the learning model, Course Review Horay, can be used as teaching. This research is still far from perfection because of limited time and energy.
