Abstract


World of drug emergency due to circulation and drug abuse. Drug trafficking due to the lack of insight and growing poverty in the world. Uncontrolled drug trafficking raises an apathetic society and is afraid of illicit drug trafficking. This article discusses community participation through information and counseling centers for drug abuse prevention. Drug Prevention, Drug Eradication, Drug Abuse, and Illicit Circulation of Drugs Program is not only policy, but program for society. The fundamental goal of information and counseling centers for drug abuse prevention in rural and urban communities. The research approach uses literature study. The analysis through descriptive analysis. The findings show society has a major role to drug prevention in the school environment, workplace, and community. Drug prevention services can be helped by professional counselors in the field of guidance and counseling community. Program of information and counseling center as an effort to prevent drug abuse in order to help government to build drug free society. Guidance and counseling services as an effective program to help communities in school, family, work, and village/ community environments as peer guidance, peer support, and peer counseling in the community. The goal of information and counseling centers to increase knowledge and help the government prevent trafficking and drug abuse.
