Pembelajaran Mitigasi Bencana Alam di Sekolah Dasar Lereng Gunung Merapi: Kajian Deskriptif di SD Negeri Jeruk Agung Kecamatan Srumbung Kabupaten Magelang

Abstract


Kecamatan Srumbung berada di sebelah barat daya Gunung Merapi sehingga termasuk daerah bahaya dari satu ancaman gunung Merapi, karena wilayahnya yang berada di kaki gunung Merapi yang masih aktif. Ketika bencana terjadi banyak aktivitas yang terhambat, termasuk proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Selain itu, muncul juga trauma bencana yang dialami peserta didik di sekolah dasar karena kondisi psikologis yang masih labil. Oleh karena itu, perlu pembelajaran tentang mitigasi bencana untuk mempersiapkan psikologis peserta didik saat menghadapi bencana dan pasca bencana. Berdasarkan observasi dan wawancara dengan guru dan siswa diperoleh hasil bahwa pembelajaran di dua Sekolah Dasar Srumbung belum mengintegrasikan materi mitigasi bencana karena kurangnya bahan ajar dan media yang mambahas bencana. Peserta didik belum memahami dengan optimal mengenai materi kebencanaan dan perilaku ketika menghadapi bencana, karena belum adanya pengenalan dan pembiasaan mitigasi bencana. Masyarakat masih menganggap bahwa pembelajaran bencana merupakan hal yang tabu dan menakutkan bagi anak-anak usia sekolah dasar.

Srumbung Subdistrict is located in the southwest of Mount Merapi so that it is included as a danger area from one threat of Mount Merapi, because its territory is located at the foot of the still active Mount Merapi. When a disaster occurs, many activities are hampered, including the learning process at school. In addition, there were also catastrophic traumas experienced by students in primary schools due to unstable psychological conditions. Therefore, it is necessary to learn about disaster mitigation to prepare students psychologically when facing disasters and post-disaster. Based on observations and interviews with teachers and students, the results showed that learning in two Srumbung Primary Schools had not integrated disaster mitigation material because of the lack of teaching materials and media that affected the disaster. Students have not understood optimally about disaster and behavior materials when facing disasters, because there is no recognition and habituation of disaster mitigation. People still think that disaster learning is taboo and frightening for elementary school-aged children.
