Abstract

One of the concepts of Physics that require visual perception is Astronomy. A fundamental understanding of Astronomy deals with the structure of the Solar System. The media and its learning methods are designed to be used in accordance with the needs of students with visual impairment. Learning media created is a book Mentari (Attacking the Solar System with Artificial Tactile Images) Blind students and students look to work together to create a tactile image that is a form of the Cooperative Learning method. The sample of this study is blind students and students from SMA 4 Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta And blind students from the Yaketunis Foundation. The tactile images are made with cheap and easy-to-obtain materials. The materials used to represent the structure of the Sun, planets and comets The questionnaire analysis is used to determine material feasibility and tactile images for the study of the Solar System for students with visual impairment Blind students gave 81.25% assessment on the material aspect which means very good and 77.857% on the aspect of the tool which means very good. While the students gave an assessment of 85.417% on the aspect of material which means very good and 78.333% on the aspect of the tool which means very Overall, governance learning Solar in blind assisted Mentari book by using Cooperative learning get 80.25% appraisal which means Mentari Book is very feasible to use.
