Background research by the emergence of students who have a habit of communicating less well in the school environment such as speaking to teachers less good and less comfortable in hearing, calling friends with less good calls, students who mock each other, students do not appreciate when the teacher is explaining, said dirty that should not be worth a word by a student. The problem studied in this research is the effectiveness of group guidance service with sociodrama technique to improve student communication ethics. The purpose of this research is to improve students' ethics of communicating through group guidance service with sociodrama technique on VIII students of SMP PGRI 01 Semarang. The type of research is quantitative. The population in the study were students of class VIII SMP PGRI 01 Semarang with the number of students 192 students. The method used is true eksperintal, samples taken as many as 30 students are divided into two groups of control groups and experimental groups using cluster random sampling sampling technique. Data in research obtained through research instrument of ethical scale communicate with four alternative answer. Result of analysis by using t-test. The research used is pretest-posttest control group design. Test the validity of intrument research using Product Moment formula, and continued reliability test using Alpha formula. The result of instrument validity test obtained 36 grains of valid instrument and 12 invalid item is aborted with reliability coefficient of 0.320. Based on the results of analysis of research data after getting treatment group guidance services with sociodrama techniques, showed an increase in communication ethics in students of class VIII SMP PGRI 01 Semarang. From the results of hypothesis submission using t-test runus obtained t count of 2.117 while ttabeldengan significant level 5% (0.05) of 2.048. Because titung 2.117, it can be concluded that "service group guidance with sociodrama technique effective to improve the ethics of communicating class VIII SMP PGRI 01 Semarang".
