Abstract


This research is motivated because in the process of learning mathematics, teachers still use conventional learning model that tends to make the classroom atmosphere becomes monotonous, boring and less interesting. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of learning discovery learning model of learning outcomes in terms of high learning activities. This type of research is quasi experiment. The population of this study is all students of class VIII Ibu Kartini Junior High School Semarang academic year 2017/2018. The sample of this research is class VIII A, VIII C and obtained by using cluster random sampling technique. Data collection techniques used are test methods, documentation and observation. Data analysis techniques used were two-t test, one-t test and regression correlation test with 5% significance level. The results of this research are: (1) There are differences of learning outcomes between students using discovery learning model and conventional learning model, (2) Result of learning mathematics student using learning model discovery learning with high activity is better than the conventional learning model that high activity, (3) There is a correlation between student learning activities on learning Discovery Learning on learning outcomes.
