Abstract


This research is motivated by the importance of students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This study aims to determine (1) the differences in students' mathematical problem solving abilities with Prezi-assisted Discovery Learning better than conventional learning; (2) completeness of students' mathematical problem solving abilities between Prezi-assisted Discovery Learning; (3) there is an effect of activeness on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This type of research is Quasi Experiment conducted at SMP N 1 Sayung Demak. The study population was all seventh grade students. Through cluster random sampling selected research samples are VII G as experimental class and VII I as control class. Data collection techniques using observation and test methods. The results showed: (1) the students' mathematical problem solving abilities of Discovery Learning were better than conventional classes (2) Discoveri Learning class students' mathematical problem solving abilities were complete individually and classically (3) there was an effect of activeness on students' mathematical problem solving abilities with equations regression in the Discovery Learning class is 𝑌̂=11,2396+0,8639𝑋.
