Abstract


Mathematical representation is the way students use in presenting mathematical ideas using concrete models as a surrogate form in solving mathematical problems in the form of images, words (verbs), writings, tables, graphs, and mathematical models. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning model PBL assisted wolfram mathematica to the students' mathematical representation abilities. This research type is quasi experiment. The population in this study is all students of class X MIPA SMAN 1 Bangsri. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique. The sample of research are class X MIPA 2, and X MIPA 5. The data collection technique used is observation, documentation, and test of students' mathematical representation ability. The result of research indicates that (1) PBL learning assisted wolfram mathematica is better than conventional learning; (2) PBL learning can be completely classical and individual (3) there is a correlation between students 'activity with students' mathematical representation in class 90.48%.
