Abstract


The Basic teaching skills are the abilities a teacher must possess in the learning process. Mathematics pre-service teachers who have good basic teaching skills can determine appropriate methods, strategies, or approaches in mathematics learning so that the learning process of mathematics becomes more interesting and fosters students' interest in learning. One approach that can be used in learning mathematics is ethnomathematics. Ethnomathematics is a mathematics that grows and develops in the culture around students. This study aims to determine the basic skills of teaching with the mathematics-based learning of mathematics pre-service teachers seen from (1) Preparation of lesson plan based n ethnomathematics; and (2) Teaching Practice. The subject of this research is Mathematics Education Student of UNY 6th semester which take course of ethnomathematics. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. The results showed that basic teaching skills with ethnomathematics-based learning of mathematics pre-service teacher overall was good with an average of 72,2. Basic teaching skills with ethnomathematics-based learning of mathematics pre-service teacher viewed from each aspect are: Skills in preparing lesson plan based on ethnomathematics are good with average of 73,8 and practice of teaching math is also good level with an average of 70,7.
