Abstract


The aims of this study is to reveal the management of learning quality covering all aspects of planning, organizing, implementation and evaluation of Excellent Class Automotive in SMK Palapa Semarang. This study uses a qualitative research method in which researcher is as a key instrument. The data sources are the principal, vice-principal, teachers, superior grade students, and parents of the students. The results showed that: (1) planning of automotive superior class at SMK Palapa has been good, as evidenced by the enactment of the vision, mission and goals, the general terms and specific terms, the restrictions on the number of students, the availability of qualified productive teachers, good performance, care about students, hardworking, achievement-oriented, have a high commitment and also understand and appreciate the talented students. (2) Organizing activities include the establishment the team of the organizer of automotive superior class, communicates on tasks, establish a good cooperation, and responsible in carrying out the task that has been given by the school. 3) The phase of the implementation include the activities that improve the quality of learning that cannot be separated from learning strategies that fit with the curriculum of automotive superior class , held a competency test activities, to coordinate social and religious activities, providing motivation to teachers and students and the implementation of school rules. 4) The evaluation phase conducted by the school includes academic and non-academic activities that have been implemented well by recording and preparation of reports submitted to the government and parents. The suggestions in this study are the school provides additional props and practice tools so that the teaching learning process is more effective and efficient.
