Abstract
Diperlukan peningkatan kinerja dosen menuju perguruan tinggi berdaya saing tinggi melalui mempublikasikan karya ilmiah yang bermutu, padahal dalam kenyataan sekarang produk publikasi karya ilmiah dosen di Indonesia cenderung rendah baik dalam kuantitas maupun kualitasnya. Untuk mengatasinya perlu dilakukan perbaikan sistem pengembangan karir dosen. Dosen diharapkan meningkatkan pemahaman, ketrampilan, dan sikap yang mendukung kemampuan publikasi karya ilmiah untuk meningkatkan kinerjanya. Perguruan tinggi didukung pemerintah melakukan regulasi peningkatan infrastruktur, kapasitas peneliti, dan akses agar jumlah perguruan tinggi yang mempunyai jurnal bereputasi semakin tinggi, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kinerja dosen.
