Latar belakang masalah penelitian ini adalah ada beberapa siswa yang nilai ulangan harian IPAnya rendah (di bawah KKM 70). Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA kelas V SDN 1 Blimbingrejo Jepara. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Learning cycle 5E merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran dengan pendekatan konstruktivis. Learning cycle 5E adalah model student-centered learning. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui penerapan model learning cycle 5E berbantuan media kartu bergambar mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SDN 1 Blimbingrejo Jepara. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa (aspek kognitif) menunjukkan peningkatan dari pra siklus 55%, siklus I 75%, sampai dengan siklus II 100%. Aspek afektif menunjukkan kriteria sangat baik pada siklus II 75% dan kriteria baik 25%. Serta unjuk kerja siswa (aspek psikomotorik) yang menunjukkan kriteria baik pada siklus II 90% dan kriteria cukup baik 10%. Dengan demikian model learning cycle 5E berbantuan media kartu bergambar dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pertimbangan bagi calon guru dalam pemilihan strategi pembelajaran yang dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi kemajuan pendidikan nasional.

ABSTRACT

Background of the research is some students got score of sains test was low (under KKM 70). The purpose of this research is to increase the study result of sains of five grade  of SDN 1 Blimbingrejo Jepara. Kind of the research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). Learning cycle 5E is one learning model with constructive approachment. Learning cycle 5E is a model student-centered learning. The result of the research showed that with assembling of learning cycle 5E model by using illustrated card as media be able increase the study result of sains of five grae students of SDN 1 Blimbingrejo Jepara. The result of data analysis was showed that the result study of the students (cognitive aspect) show the increasing from  pra cycle 55%, cycle I 75%, until cycle II 100%. Affective aspect was showed very good criteria in cycle II 75% and good criteria 25%. And being active of the students (psycomotoric aspect) was showed good criteria in cycle II 90% and sufficient criteria 10%. Based on the research result above, learning cycle 5E mode by using illustrated card as media can be used for consideration for the candidate of teacher to choose learning strategy wich can give contribution for national education progress.
