Abstract


Tofu Industry developed rapidly out in Central Java, generally its small scale industries or households. Characteristics of tofu wastewater has a high organic content and biodegradable. Sources of waste water coming from the washing process, soaking and stripping soy and whey from clotting process. Wastewater normally discharged directly into the environment without treatment processes causing pollution and harmful to the environment. The purpose of this study was to look for alternative technologies that can be used to treat industrial wastewater out so it can meet the required quality standards and can produce renewable energy sources. Wastewater treatment know distinguishable from waste water sources, tofu wastewater whey who has the content high organic processed in the biogas reactor, with an efficiency reaching 80%. Waste water output from biogas reactors performed advanced processing reactor Buffled Anaerobic Reactor (ABR) in conjunction with waste water from the washing process with an efficiency of 70-95%. Constructed wetland with an efficiency of 78-97% as a complement to the wastewater treatment already meet the quality standards required and safely discharged into the environment.
