Abstract


This paper aims to raise community awareness of more special family to education children who favors the uniqueness and the type of intelligence, as well as an environment conducive to a safe and convenient to learn. Where it can be retrieved through the choices that are right for the learning needs of children. Another thing that also becomes a destination that homeschooling is currently one of the alternative education that is. The study carried out using the method of qualitative and ethnographic approaches. Data analysis stages are domain analysis, taxonomy and komponensial, an analysis of the cultural theme. Education homeschooling can be assessed as the philosophical basis of learning and education which gives independence and freedom in children to solve problems in real life. It is in line with the philosophy of rekonstruksionisme where there is community awareness in developing methods of learning with problem-solving, with the rebuilding of knowledge/understanding based on existing experience. The development of various types of homeschooling have different reasons. Homeschooling tunggal or called the PBK (by the practition) developed mainly on the issue of the child's educational needs. Homeschooling majemuk, more to the needs of developing learning materials and the sharing of experience in running a learning process as well as the needs of socialization for children. Homeschooling komunitas experiencing rapid development in terlembaga as one of public service even entrepreneurial education (edupreneur). Homeschooling can be positioned as a preferred or alternative education school, so in addition to the existence of homeschooling should already get room to develop. On the other hand, homeschooling has weaknesses that must still be attempted responses as a challenge to the development forward.
