ABSTRAK

Media papan perkalian sebuah alat yang digunakan untuk menyampaikan materi perkalian berulang, berupa papan yang berlapis flanel. Pada usia siswa sekolah dasar (7-8 tahun hingga 12-13 tahun). Menurut teori kognitif Piaget termasuk pada tahap operasional konkret. Berdasarkan perkembangan kognitif ini, maka anak usia sekolah dasar pada umumnya mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami matematika yang bersifat abstrak. Hasil belajar menunjukkan bahwa anak mengalami perkembangan kognif dengan menggunakan media papan perkalian. Maka dapat dilihat bahwa nilai rata-rata kelompok eksperimen lebih besar dari pada kelompok kontrol. Nilai rata-rata Pretest kelas kontrol sebesar 58,3, kemudian nilai rata-rata Postest kelas kontrol sebesar 67,2. Sedangakan nilai rata-rata pretest kelas eksperimen sebesar 55,8, kemudian nilai rata-rata Postest kelas kontrol sebesar 83,7.

ABSTRACT

The multiplication media of a device used to deliver repeating multiplication material, a flannel-coated board. At the age of elementary school students (7-8 years to 12-13 years). According to Piaget's cognitive theory is included in the concrete operational stage. Based on this cognitive development, primary schoolaged children in general have difficulty in understanding abstract mathematics. Learning outcomes show that children experience cognitive development by using multiplication media. Then it can be seen that the average value of the experimental group is greater than the control group. The average value of Pretest control class is 58.3, then the mean value of Postest control class is 67.2. While the average pretest grade of the experimental class is 55.8, then the average grade of Postest control class is 83.7.
