Abstrak

Latar belakang yang mendorong penelitian ini adalah kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika dalam bentuk pemecahan masalah. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena siswa kurang dibiasakan menyelesaikan soal matematika dalam bentuk cerita. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah Apakah model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) efektif terhadap pemecahan masalah matematika? Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektif atau tidak efektifnya model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) terhadap pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas II SD Negeri Satriyan 02 Batang.       Jenis Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian experimen quasi experimental design dengan bentuk nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas II SD Negeri Satriyan 01 Batang dan kelas II SD Negeri Satriyan 02 Batang tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Sampel yang diambil adalah 40 siswa kelas II SD Negeri Satriyan 01 Batang dan kelas II SD Negeri Satriyan 02 Batang dengan menggunakan teknik nonprobability sampling dengan pengambilan sampling menggunakan sampling jenuh. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui tes. Hasil analisis dengan uji t diketahui thitung> ttabel (2,040 > 1,68) maka Ha diterima. Jadi, model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) efektif terhadap pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas II SD Negeri Satriyan 02 Batang. Diperoleh rata-rata uji ketuntasan klasikal (KBK) dari 70%100% tuntas pada kelas eksperimen dan ketuntasn klasikal (KBK) 65%-80% tuntas pada pada kelas kontrol, terdapat peningkatan yang lebih tinggi pada kelas eksperimen daripada kelas kontrol. Kesimpulannya bahwa model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) efektif terhadap pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas II SD Negeri Satriyan 02 Batang. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) efektif terhadap pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas II SD Negeri Satriyan 02 Batang.

ABSTRAK

The encouraging background of this research is the lack of students' ability to solve math problems in the form of problem solving This is because students are less accustomed to solving math problems in story form. The problem in this research is Is the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning model effective against solving math problems? The purpose of this research is to know the effective or ineffective of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning model to solve the problem of mathematics of second grade students of SD Negeri Satriyan 02 Batang. This type of research uses quasi experimental design experimental research method with the form of nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research is all of second grade students of SD Satriyan 01 Batang and second grade of SD Negeri Satriyan 02 Batang in academic year 2016/2017. Samples taken are 40 students of second grade SD Satriyan 01 Batang and class II SD Satriyan 02 Batang by using nonprobability sampling technique with sampling sampling using saturated sampling. The data in this study was obtained through the test. Result of analysis with t test known t count > t table (2.040> 1.68) then Ha accepted. Thus, Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning model is effective toward solving the mathematics problem of elementary school students of SD Satriyan 02 Batang. Obtained an average of 70% -100% complete completion of classical completeness completion in the experimental and classical completion classes of 65% - 80% complete in the control class, there is a higher increase in the experimental class than the control class. The conclusion is that the learning model of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) is effective toward solving the problem of mathematics of elementary school students of SD Satriyan 02 Batang. The conclusion obtained is the model of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning to solve the problem of mathematics of second grade students of SD Negeri Satriyan 02 Batang.
