Abstrak

Kemampuan siswa masih kurang dalan menulis karangan deskripsi. Hal tersebut disebabkan pembelajaran yang monoton dengan penggunaan media yang kurang bervariasi dalam megoptimalkan kemampuan dan motivasi siswa. Penggunaan model Problem Based Learning berbantu media Pop Up dapat membantu siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis karangan deskripsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantu media Pop Up terhadap menulis karangan deskripsi siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Gaji Grobogan tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dalam bentuk True Experimental Design dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Grup Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV IV SDN 1 Gaji Grobogan tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Sampel yang diambil adalah 40 siswa kelas IV A dan IV B dengan menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui tes. Data analisis menggunakan uji t. Berdasarkan uji t diketahui thitung> ttabel (5,496 > 2,024) maka Ha diterima. Jadi,model pembelajaran Problem Based Learningberbantu media Pop Up efektif terhadap kemampuan menulis karangan deskripsi siswa kelas IVSDN 1 Gaji Grobogan. Diperoleh rata-rata uji indeks gain (g) 0,53 pada kelas eksperimen dan 0,16 pada kelas kontrol, terdapat peningkatan yang lebih tinggi pada kelas eksperimen daripada kelas kontrol. Kesimpulannya bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantu media Pop Up efektif terhadap kemampuan menulis karangan deskripsi siswa.

Abstract

The lack of students ability in writing a descriptive text. It caused of monotonous learning with the lack of variation media to optimalize students ability and motivation. The use of Problem Based Learning model using Pop Up media helps students improve their ability of writing descriptive text. This research conducted to find out the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning model using Pop Up media to improve students ability of writing descriptive text in case of IV grade of SDN 1 Gaji Grobogan in academic year 2016/2017. It is experimental research in the form of True Experimental Design by using Pretest – Posttest Control Group Design. The population of this research is all of students IV grade of SDN 1 Gaji Grobogan in academic year 2016/2017. The sample is 40 students of IV A and IV B grades using saturated sampling technique. The writer uses test to get data of the research. The analysis data uses ttable. Based on ttable, ttest > ttable ( 5,496 > 2,024) So Ha is accepted. Then, Problem Based Learning using Pop Up media is effective to improve students ability of writing descriptive text of IV grade SDN 1 Gaji Grobogan. The mean of the gain test (g) 0,53 in experimental class and 0,16 in control class. It shows the increase of the result of experimental class than control class. In conclusion, Problem Based Learning model using Pop Up media is effective to improve the students ability of writing descriptive text.
