Abstrak

Penggunaan model pembelajaran yang tepat akan menunjang proses pembelajaran. Terkadang didalam kelas proses pembelajaran hanya terpusat pada guru saja. Selain itu pembelajaran belum menitiberatkan pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Oleh karena itu, mencoba memberikan alternatif dalam mengemas proses pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan masalah yang sedang dihadapi yaitu dengan menguji cobakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan berbantu Math Magazine. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) Kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa tuntas dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (2) Kemampuan pemecahan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantu Math Magazine lebih baik dari yang tidak menggunakan model. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah nonequivalent control grup desain. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian setelah mendapatkan perlakuan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantu Math Magazine diperoleh hasil  thitung > ttabel  yaitu 7,2218 > 1,995, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan pada kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari kelas kontrol.

Abstract

The use of appropriate learning models will support the learning process. Sometimes in the classroom the learning process is concentrated only on the teacher. In addition, learning has not been focused on the ability to solve mathematical problems. Therefore, try to provide an alternative in packaging the learning process in accordance with the problem being faced is by testing the model of Problem Based Learning with Math Magazine assisted. This study aims to describe (1) Problem solving ability of students thoroughly by using model of Problem Based Learning (2) Ability to solve students using model of Problem Based Learning with Math Magazine assisted better than those who do not use the model. The research design used was nonequivalent control design group. Based on the results of data analysis penelsitian after getting treatment by using the model of Problem Based Learning with Math Magazine obtained tcount> ttable result that is 7,2218> 1,995, so it can be concluded that the mathematical problem solving skills of the material addition and the reduction of fractions in the experimental class better than the control class.
