Abstrak

Latar belakang yang mendasari penelitian ini adalah masih banyak siswa di kelas IV yang belum memahami materi yang diberikan, siswa mengalami kebosanan karena dalam pembelajaran guru hanya terfokus pada buku teks dan menggunakan metode ceramah. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan hasil belajar siswa yang rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi efektif atau tidak metode Index Card Match efektif terhadap keaktifan siswa dan hasil belajar IPA kelas IV SD Negeri Sembaturagung 01 Pati. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dalam bentuk Pre-Eksperimental. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran sebelum perlakuan (pretest) sebanyak 4 siswa yang tuntas dan 16 siswa yang belum tuntas. Setelah diberi perlakuan (posttest) dengan menggunakan metode metode Index Card Match19 siswa yang tuntas dan 1 siswa yang belum tuntas. Hal tersebut diperkuat dengan hasil perhitungan thitung = 7,9022 selanjutnya dibandingkan dengan ttabel  = 2,093 dengan db = 20-1 pada taraf signifikan α = 5%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa thitung  > ttabel yaitu 7,9022 >2,093. Kesimpulannya bahwa metode Index Card Matchefektif terhadap keaktifan siswa dan hasil belajar siswa IPA kelas IV SDN Sembaturagung Pati.

Abstract

The background of the study that underlies this research is a lot of students in elementary school grade IV do not understand the material which given by their teacher, the students feel boring because in learning, the teacher only focussed towards the textbook and used discourse method. That is shown by the result of the students learning are too low. This purpose of this research is to identifying the effectiveness of Index Card Match method towards the liveliness of the students and the learning result of sains grade IV, Semabaruragung 01 elemantary school  in region Pati. This kind of research is quantitative research in the form of pre-experimental. Based on the result of analysis from the research data, it shows the previous learning that only 4 students that capable with this material and 16 unable with this material. After the researcher gave them a postest with using the index card method match, 19 students capable and 1 student unable with the materials. That is strengthened with the result of calculation t hitung = 7,9022 then compared with ttable = 2,093 with db =20-1 at the significance degree α = 5%. This result shows that thitung > ttabel, it is 7,9022 >2,093. The conclusion of this research is that the index card match method is effective towards the liveliness students and the result learning of sains grade IV Sembaturagung elementary school in region Pati.
