ABSTRAK

Nilai rata-rata kelas yang belum memenuhi KKM, Penggunaan model pembelajaran kurang variatif dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran menjadi alasan untuk melaksanakan penelitian. Pembelajaran menggunakan modelThe Power of Two adalah salah satu solusi yang tepat untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep  siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas model pembelajaran The Power Of Two terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas IV SD Negeri pangkah pada mata pelajaran matemaika kelas IV SD Negeri Pangkah. Metode penelitian kuantitatif dalam bentuk Pre-Experimental Design dengan teknik One-Group PretestPosttest Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Pangkah Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Sampel yang diambil adalah 32 siswa kelas IV dengan menggunakan teknikSampling Jenuh. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui instrumen penelitian pretest, posttest, dokumentasi, wawancara, dan lembar observasi. Ada peningkatan terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa sesudah perlakuan dengan rata-rata sebesar nilai 77. Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa juga lebih baik dari sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran The Power of Two. Terdapat hubungan antara karakter tanggungjawab dan kerja sama terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika. Kesimpulannya bahwa model Pembelajaran The Power Of Two efektif terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Matematika Siswa Kelas IV SDN Pangkah  Kabupaten Pekalongan.

ABSTRACT

The average value of the class who do not meet minimum completeness criteria, the use of less varied learning model in the implementation of learning becomes the reason for conducting research. Learning using the Power of Two model is one of the right solutions to improve students' conceptual understanding. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the learning model of The Power Of Two on the ability to understand the concept of fourth grade students of SD Negeri pangkah on the subjects of mathematics class IV SD Negeri Pangkah. Quantitative research method in the form of Pre-Experimental Design with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design technique. The population of the study were all students of fourth grade of SD Negeri Pangkah in the Lesson of 2016/2017. The samples taken were 32 students of class IV using Saturated teknikSampling.This research data obtained through the research instrument pretest, posttest, documentation, interviews, and observation sheet.There was an increase in the students' understanding of the concept after the treatment with the average amount of the 77. The ability of understanding mathematical concepts students are also better than before using model The Power of Two. There is a relationship between the character of responsibility and cooperation to the ability of understanding mathematical concepts. The conclusion that a model of Learning The Power Of Two effective against Concept Training Mathematics Grade IV SDN Pangkah Pekalongan.
