Abstract


ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi rendahnya hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran  IPA siswa kelas V SD Negeri Pandeanlamper 05. Rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik ini disebabkan karena pembelajaran masih konvensional, peserta didik masih pasif dalam pembelajaran dan sulit mempelajari IPA. Guru juga tidak menggunakan media yang menarik sehingga pembelajaran menjadi kurang menyenangkan. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut maka peneliti melakukan penelitian dengan menerapkan media Mind Mapping. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah media Mind Mapping efektif terhadap hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPA pada kelas V SD Negeri Pandeanlamper 05?. Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan Media Mind Mapping pada materi pesawat sederhana kelas V SD Negeri Pandeanlamper 05 dilihat pada ketuntasan belajar, dan hasil belajar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dalam bentuk Pre-Experimental Design dengan bentuk One Group Prestest Posttest Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik SD Negeri Pandeanlamper 05 tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Sampel yang diambil adalah 38 peserta didik kelas V dengan menggunakan teknik Nonprobability Sampling. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis tes hasil belajar peserta didik menunjukkan bahwa hasil rata-rata pretest 54,00 dengan ketuntasan 16% atau 6 peserta didik yang dinyatakan tuntas dan yang belum tuntas terdapat 84% atau 32 peserta didik. Sedangkan rata-rata posttest 85,87 dengan ketuntasan 89% atau  34 peserta didik yang dinyatakan tuntas dan yang belum tuntas terdapat 11% atau 4 peserta didik. Artinya ada peningkatan ketuntasan belajar klasikal posttest dari pretest. Berdasarkan hasil uji t yang diperoleh hasil thitung = 5,981 > ttabel = 1,687, maka sesuai rumusan hipotesis yang diujikan, H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Artinya media Mind Mapping efektif terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri Pandeanlamper 05. Dengan rata-rata pretest 54,00 dan rata-rata posttest 85,87. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini saran yang dapat disampaikan adalah supaya media Mind Mapping dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu alternatif guru dalam mengajar

ABSTRACT

The background of this study is the lack of the results of science learning in students. The results of science learning in students are very low because the learning is still conventional. Students are still passive in learning and difficult to learn the science. Beside that, the teacher also does not use interesting media. Therefore, the students feel bored with the learning process. Based on the background of this study, the researcher tries to apply mind mapping media in this research. The researcher decides the research problem and the purpose of the study. First, for the research problem, how effective is mind mapping media against the results of science learning of the fifth grade students in Pandeanlamper 05 elementary school? Second, the purpose of the study is to analyze the effectiveness of mind mapping media to the simple material seen in the result of the study of the fifth grade students in Pandeanlamper 05 elementary school. Seminar Nasional PGSD 2017 tema "Menyiapkan Generasi Unggul Melalui Pembelajaran Bermakna"   92  The method of this research is Pre-Experimental Design using One Group Pretest-Posttest.It is one of quantitative research type. The population of this research is all students of the Pandeanlamper 05 elementary school in 2016/2017 academic year. The sample of this research,taken by using Nonprobability Sampling,is 38 students in fifth grades. The data in this study is obtained through the test, observation, and documentation.  The results of this research show that the average score of pre-test is 54.00. The students that have score above minimum completeness criteria (KKM) are 6 students.It is about 16percent of all students.The students that have score below minimum completeness criteria (KKM) are 32 students. It is about 84percent of all students. The average score of post-test is 85.87. The students that have score above minimum completeness criteria (KKM) are 34 students. It is about 89percent of all students. The student that has score below minimum completeness criteria (KKM) is4 student. It is about 11percent of all students. From the data, there is rising score from pre-test to post-test. Based on T-test, it shows that tcalculate = 5.981 > ttabel = 1.687. Thus, based on hypotheses test, H0 is rejectedand Ha is accepted. It means that mind mapping media is effective against the results of the study of the fifth grade students in Pandeanlamper 05 elementary school. The average score for pre-test is 54.00 while the average score of post-test is 85.87. Based on the result of this research, the writer suggests to the teacher to use mind mapping media as an alternative in teaching
